If you have a sensitivity to gluten, finding a bakery you can actually enjoy can feel like a bit of a mission. At Krumb, we want everyone who walks through the door at 258 Ormeau Road to feel genuinely welcome. While we are not a certified gluten free bakery Belfast (more on that in a moment), we do our very best to cater for gluten-aware customers and we are always happy to talk through what is on that day.
What Gluten-Aware Options Does Krumb Offer?
Our menu changes with the seasons and the day, so the gluten aware belfast community will find something a little different each visit. We bake fresh every morning in small batches, and our team always know exactly what has gone into each tray. On any given day you might find treats made with alternative flours or naturally gluten-free ingredients sitting alongside our classic bakes.
The best way to know what is available is simply to ask when you come in or get in touch before your visit. Our team are friendly, knowledgeable and more than happy to point you in the right direction.
The Honest Truth About Our Bakery Environment
We believe in being straight with you. Krumb is a working bakery and cafe. Flour is in the air, on the worktops and part of the magic that makes everything here taste so good. That means we cannot guarantee a fully gluten free environment, and we would never want to give anyone a false sense of security.
If you have coeliac disease or a serious gluten intolerance, please do speak with our team before ordering. We will always be honest about what we can and cannot accommodate on any particular day, and we would much rather have that conversation than see you feeling unwell after your visit.

Gluten awareness is just one part of how we think about dietary options at Krumb. We also offer:
- A vegan sando that changes regularly, made with fresh, quality ingredients
- Oat milk for all our coffee drinks, using beautiful beans from Lucid Coffee Roasters
- Plant-based bakes that vary day to day
- Living Things prebiotic sodas for a brilliant non-coffee option
Our larder is packed with wonderful local and artisan produce too, including Honest Toil olive oil, Olives Et Al, Ballylisk and Hegarty's cheese, and Piggy's hot honey. Plenty to explore while you are with us.

Because everything at Krumb is made fresh from scratch in small batches, our dietary options shift with each day's bake. There is no static gluten free menu to scroll through, and that is part of what makes us a proper artisan bakery rather than a production line. The best advice we can give is to pop in, have a wee look at what is out, and chat to the team.
You can also use our click and collect service to plan your visit and discuss your needs in advance. We are open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm, at 258 Ormeau Road, Belfast, BT7 2FZ.

Are you a certified gluten free bakery in Belfast?
No, and we want to be upfront about that. We are a working bakery that handles flour and gluten every day. We cannot certify any product as fully gluten free, but we do have gluten-aware options on most days and our team are always happy to discuss what is suitable for you.
Can I find out what gluten-aware options are available before I visit?
Absolutely. Get in touch or use our click and collect to check in with us ahead of time. Our team will let you know what that day's bake looks like and help you find something you can enjoy.
Do you cater for other dietary requirements too?
Yes, we do our very best. We have plant-based and vegan options daily, oat milk for coffees, and a rotating menu that we are always tweaking. Ask the team about the day's offerings and we will point you towards something lovely.
